The Brong-Ahafo Regional Maintenance Engineer of Urban Roads, Mr Ernest Boom is unhappy about obsolete traffic lights in the Brong-Ahafo Regional capital.
He noted with concern that most of the traffic lights in the Sunyani Municipality are not functioning, a situation leading to uncontrolled vehicular traffic jam and pedestrian knockdowns.
Speaking to journalists in Sunyani, Mr Boom was worried that only two contractors were engaged to man the 13 traffic lights in the Municipality.
The Regional Maintenance Engineer led Journalists to inspect progress of work of the on-going construction of the Sunyani-New-Dormaa dual carriage road.
It was organized by the Brong-Ahafo Regional Office of the National Road Safety Commission.
