The number of people with mental disabilities are rising in the capital of the Brong Ahafo Region, Sunyani.
Residents are sometimes harassed and assaulted by these lunatics.
News Hunter Magazine has gathered that a lunatic was nearly beaten to death after assaulting a woman on Thursday evening.
An eyewitness told us that the ‘mad man’ heavily slapped an innocent woman which led to her passing out.
“The woman was talking on her phone at the roundabout near the ADB Bank in Sunyani and she was attacked by this mad man. She collapsed afterwards,” the eyewitness disclosed adding, “He wanted to have sex with the woman who was unconscious…but people rushed to the scene and began to attack him with sticks.”
News Hunter Magazine’s sources say the ‘mad man’ was rescued by some officials of the Ghana Police Service in Sunyani.
