Fake Pregnant Takoradi Woman Pleads Not Guilty After First Appearance In Court; Granted GHS 50, 000 Bail

Josephine Panyin Mensah, the Takoradi woman who faked her pregnancy and kidnapping appeared before the Takoradi Circuit Court today, September 27, 2021.

She pleaded not guilty in her first appearance before the court.

The 28-year-old woman was led by five lawyers who are working based on pro bono.

She is being charged for putting fear and panic in the public and deceiving public officials.

Her plea was led by lawyer, Fiifi Buckman.

Following the plea, Josephine Mensah was granted GHS 50, 000 bail with two sureties by the court presided by His Honour Michael Cudjoe Ampadu.

She is expected to reappear before the court on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

Josephine recently begged for forgiveness after confessing that she faked her pregnancy and kidnapping.
