Most Ghanaian Gospel Musicians Are Becoming Lazy—Radio Presenter Lament

Sunyani-based Radio Presenter, Mr. Felix Agyei otherwise known as Mr. Lattus has lamented on the kind of gospel music being released recently by some Ghanaian gospel musicians.

Mr. Lattus who ply his trade with J. Life FM in Sunyani says most Ghanaian gospel musicians are becoming lazy.

According to him the songs which are released today are not ‘spiritually filled’ if you compare it to some years back.

“It is sad because most of gospel musicians are becoming lazy. Their songs are not making any impact. They are just refurbishing the old songs…I wonder if they do study their bibles. Also, most of them are weak spiritually. They should let the Holy Spirit lead them,” he told the News Hunter Magazine.

He posited that it is difficult decipher between secular music and some of the new crop of gospel music in Ghana.

“It appears that most of the managers of our gospel musicians do not know Christ so they are pushing them to do what will bring them money without thinking about the gospel that the song has to propagate.”

Mr. Lattus is the Marketing Manager of J. Life FM, Host of Entertainment Chart Show and Church Bells.
