The contract between Coach CK Akonnor and Asante Kotoko has been terminated.
Coach Akonnor has said he opted to abrogate his contract with the team after he was asked to be club’s technical director.
“Yes it’s true, I am no more the coach of Kotoko, I have been asked to step aside but to take over as technical director, I can’t comment any further,” he told Kumasi-based Oyereepa FM.
“In a meeting, I was told this. I am even in Accra now,” the 45-year old coach added.
He spent nine months out of his three-year deal with the team.
He joined Kotoko from Ashanti Gold SC.
