Three Accused Sports Hooligans At Twumasi Sports Complex In Nsoatre Arrested

Three accused sports hooligans have been arrested and remanded into Police custody by the Fiapre Circuit Court in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono region.


They are Enoch Diawuo aged 32, a farmer, Apraku Augustine 24, a tiler and one Ebenezer Okyere a.k.a Omega, remanded by the Court Presided by Miss Rita Amoanywaa Adusah.

Chief Inspector Emmanuel Sampson, the Prosecutor told this reporter in an interview in Sunyani that the accused persons were arrested upon a tipoff in respect of the sports hooliganism that occurred at the Twumasi Sports Complex, Nsoatre in Sunyani West on Sunday, May 8, 2022, after a Division One league match between Baffour Soccer Academy and Tamale City.


Chief Inspector Sampson said they were charged with causing harm, assault, conspiracy to commit crime, rioting, rioting with weapons and causing unlawful damage.


The suspects, he said are in Police custody for further investigation and would reappear before the Court on Thursday, May 26 this year.
