The Father of the late Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns, has disclosed how he felt when her songs were performed at the 2018 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Nana Opoku Kwarteng said he felt the presence of her daughter, but he was unable to touch her.

“I could feel my girl around me but I couldn’t touch her.

“It was like I was in hell, it wasn’t easy. I managed my way to stand the test of that time”, he said.

In an honour to the late dancehall diva, MzVee, Akosua Agyapong, Adina and Efya performed some of Ebony’s songs at the 2018 VGMA. They performed a rendition of Ebony’s hit tracks like ‘Date Ur Fada’, ‘Hustle’, ‘Sponsor’ and ‘Maame Hwe’.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng further congratulated the other nominees who contested with his daughter and described them as well deserving artistes.

“All the nominees were equally powerful so I wouldn’t have gone mad if someone else had won”, he noted.
