Former Ghanaian captain, Asamoah Gyan, is canvassing support for the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of World Cup 2022.

After the final squad for the World Cup 2022 was announced, Ghanaian football officials have been subjected to heavy criticism.

The disappointment on the faces of some soccer fans is due to their favourite players not being called.

These fans even think there was a ‘Pay to Play’ scheme initiated by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In a tweet seen by Newshuntermag.com, Asamoah Gyan called on Ghanaians to support the team.

He said they should pray for the Black Stars to deliver.

If they have anything to say, the popular footballer stated that they should wait till the first match of Ghana in the tournament is over.

He tweeted: “Everyone have shared his or her opinion about the BLACK STARS. 26 man squad is out now so what we have to do now is to support those in camp now. If u have any comments, wait till after the first game of the tournament. But for now, let’s pray for the team to deliver 🙏🏿🙏🏿💪🏿💪🏿.”

Coach Otto Addo announced his final squad for the World Cup 2022 in Accra on Monday, November 14, 2022.

The Black Stars of Ghana will be facing Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in the Group H of the tournament which will take place in Qatar.
