Akrobeto Gives A True Account Of What Contributed To The Collapse Of Kumawood (Watch Video)

Renowned Ghanaian actor, Akwasi Boadi, well known as Akrobeto, has given a true account of what contributed to the collapse of Kumawood.

The once vibrant Ghanaian local movie industry is struggling to stand on its feet again after it took a nosedive some years ago.

Many industry players have shared their views on what contributed to its collapse.

Alex Kofi Adu, otherwise known as Agya Koo, a popular actor in Ghana, recently disclosed that Kumawood started collapsing after he was sidelined by some producers and directors.

He argued that consumers were not patronizing the local movies due to his absence.

However, Akrobeto had a different view when speaking in an interview on Peace FM.

He revealed that erratic power supply, known as dumsor was the reason why Kumawood collapsed.

After dumsor was fixed, Akrobeto indicated that the influx of telenovelas in Ghana was also another challenge.

He further admitted how vibrant Agya Koo was in the movie scene some years ago.

Without his presence, Akrobeto divulged producers and directors had to wait before they can shoot their movies.
