Afriyie Is The Reason Wutah Has Never Been Successful — Guru

Ace Ghanaian musician, Guru, has voiced out vehemently the real reason he couldn’t continue with Wutah when they had a working contract some years ago.

He blamed Afriyie for the woes of the Ghanaian music group during an interview with Gerry Gee-De General on Free FM’s ‘Free E-Block’ show in Techiman on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

To him, the group could not function because of Afriyie’s bad attitude.

Guru hinted that Afriyie was a control freak who always wanted the majority to move in his direction. “He always downplays the efforts of others,” Guru said bluntly.

Guru cited for example that, even on the day of the signing of their working contract, there was a fight between Afriyie and Kobby all because of some sour utterances of Afriyie.

At a point, Guru disclosed again that Afriyie went as far as faking an illness just to miss a booking that had been reserved for a long time, making only Kobby to perform which caused him a huge lot of money. What made it more difficult for Guru to understand was the fact that it was the 4syte TV awards.

Guru again alleged that Afriyie used his song to look for an ambassadorial deal from a very reputable telecommunication company even without his colleague Kobby’s knowledge.
