Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo has called for the arrest of landlords who flouts the rent act.
In a post seen by Newshuntermag.com, Mr Dumelo stated that landlords who demand two years of rent advance should be dealt with.
He said the canker will stop if about one or two landlords are arrested.
John Dumelo wrote on Twitter: “If one or two landlords are arrested for demanding 2 years rent advance, the rest will stop!”
The renowned actor has been complaining about this for some time now.
According to the rent act, landlords are not to take more than six months of advance for rents.
