U.S President, Joe Biden, has tested positive for COVID-19 again.
He announced this in a post sighted by Newshuntermag.com.
President Biden was first diagnosed with COVID less than two weeks ago.
He entered isolation and started taking Paxlovid, an antiviral treatment made by Pfizer, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement announcing his diagnosis. He experienced only mild symptoms.
Mr Biden tested negative on Tuesday evening after five days and he ended his isolation.
According to his doctor, his tests on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were negative. But on Saturday morning, an antigen test came back positive.
“Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again. This happens with a small minority of folks.
“I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me. I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon,” President Joe Biden wrote on Twitter.
