Beautiful Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah has shot down reports that she has
gone blind.
Some media outlets mistook a role she played in a new movie titled ‘Happy
Never After’ for real a story. In the yet to be released movie which has caused
controversies, Jackie was a blind woman married to Prince David Osei.
“I hear people saying Jackie have you gone blind, because a few people
published a story saying ‘Jackie goes blind’ which is not true.
“I played a blind girl in the movie but I can see perfectly well and it was
just a movie role I had to play,” Jackie told 3news.com in an interview.
Jackie Appiah who is the last of five children has received several awards
and nominations, including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role
at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards; and Best Actress in a Supporting
Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007.
She received two nominations for Best
Actress in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actress at the Africa
Movie Academy Awards in 2008.
