One Of My Regrets In Life Is Writing Songs For Some Musicians – Ofori Amponsah Divulges

As humans, we do have regrets and Ofori Amponsah is no different.

The veteran Ghanaian musician opened up on one of his regrets in life during an interview with TV XYZ that Newshuntermag.com has come across.

If he could change back time, Ofori said he would not write songs for other musicians again.

The ‘Alewa’ composer revealed he wrote songs like Yaw Dompreh, Mmobrowa and Koforidua for Kofi B as well as all the songs except one on Kofi Nti’s debut album and his songs on a joint album titled ‘Wo Ho Kyere’ with Daddy Lumba.

Throughout his music career, Ofori Amponsah recounted it’s only Samini who wrote a verse on a song they recorded together.

“If I can reverse everything, I will decide not to help any musician because my help was a shortcut in the careers of a lot of musicians,” Ofori Amponsah stated.

Apart from writing lyrics of a song, he claimed to have handed over completed songs to some of his colleagues to perform.

The renowned musician believes he would have become a bigger musician if he was assisted by his mentor, Daddy Lumba as he did for others.

Talking about the speculations that surrounded Kofi B’s death, he denied them and revealed the problem that the deceased had.

“Kofi B had had problems way back, he had issues with blood pressure and it was serious,” Ofori Amponsah revealed.
