American rapper, singer, songwriter and record executive, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., popularly known as Lil Wayne, has traced his ancestry to Nigeria.
He disclosed in a recent discussion on Revolt TV’s ‘Drink Champ’ that he is 53 per cent Nigerian.
“Shout out to Nigeria, I did my 23 and me ancestry dot com and my shit came back like 53% Nigerian. Yea! Me and my mum need to have a talk,” Lil Wayne stated.
He further disclosed his readiness to visit Nigeria.
“I gat to go to Nigeria…I gat to go see that place,” Lil Wayne averred.
This comes after the 39-year-old rapper said some time ago that he would love to visit Nigeria and Egypt.
A lot of Black Americans have expressed interest in visiting their root, Africa. Africa is a beautiful place to be, anyone coming to Ghana should ‘holla at me’…Lol.
