Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been uninvited to attend Sunday’s reception at Buckingham Palace ahead of the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
The reception is to welcome world leaders who will be arriving for the Queen’s state funeral.
Reports say the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had initially been invited to the reception which will be hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort.
But it has taken a new twist as they have disinvited.
According to People, the palace has stated that the reception is “for working members of the royal family.”
Page Six also reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry heard the news about them being disinvited through the media.
However, the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will come off on Monday, September 19, 2022.
