Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Nhyira Betty Bemoans The Paltry Amount She Received As Royalties From GHAMRO

Ghanaian Gospel musician, Nhyira Betty, has bemoaned the paltry amount she received as royalties from GHAMRO.

Having been in the music industry for 17 years, she was shocked after the Ghana Music Rights Organization paid her GHS 153 as royalties.

Betty clarified that the first royalty paid to her was GHS 400.

She wondered why it has been reduced after having five albums and two hit songs to her credit now.

Looking at the years she has been active in the Ghanaian music industry and the amount she is receiving, she questioned how much up-and-coming musicians would be paid.

Meanwhile, she realized that musicians in South Africa were enjoying when she visited there recently.

If there are any errors concerning royalties collection and distribution, Nhyira Betty said they should be fixed.
