Cecilia Dapaah: This Is Why The Ghanaian Politician Is Trending

Ghanaian politician, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, has been trending for some hours now.

The former NPP Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency found herself in the online trend following a report about missing money in her home.

Her house helps Patience Botwe, aged 18, and Sarah Agyei, 30, are currently facing charges before an Accra Circuit Court.

They have been accused of stealing a substantial sum of money, which includes $1 million, €300,000, and millions of cedis from Madam Dapaah’s home at Abelemkpe.

The house helps, allegedly took belongings, such as a variety of clothes valued at GH¢95,000, handbags and perfumes in addition.

A lot of Ghanaian social media users have reacted to the report.

They wondered why a person would keep such an amount at home.

In comments seen by Newshuntermag.com, a section of Ghanaian social media users tagged politicians in the country as thieves.

Cecilia Dapaah, 68, is also known for her role as the Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing. Currently, she is the Minister for Sanitation in Ghana.
