Ghanaian female gospel musician, Philipa Baafi has disclosed what help in selling music in a recent interview.

Philipa Baafi believes using a catchy title/expression in a song help in selling it.

“If you have followed me since I started singing, you would know that I like using catchy expressions in my songs. Music wise, such things help in selling the song,” the ‘Jesus Sweet Me Koolem’ singer told Mr. Lattus on J. Life FM Chart Show.

She lamented that most businessmen will not invest in gospel music because of how gospel musicians are treated.

“It is not easy to come out with a song. Everything is about money now but some people think we should not charge for performing at events because we are doing the work of God. We have to be realistic…we pay for studio fees like the secular musicians do. We also pay for promotions and other things. If you compare they charge more than we do.

“Any serious businessman will not venture into gospel music because people are not buying CD’s…due to pirating and the spring up of radio stations. Talents are dying,” she stated
