Let Us Go To School On Only Mondays And Tuesdays If You Want Us To Do Side Jobs – Teacher Kwadwo Tells President Akufo-Addo

Popular Ghanaian comedian cum teacher, Michael Owusu Afriyie, well known as Teacher Kwadwo, has reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s statement that teaching is not going to make people millionaires.

A few days ago, Prez Akufo-Addo told the leadership of the Ghana National Association Of Teachers (GNAT) that teaching is a service to the nation.

He argued that the teaching profession won’t make them millionaires—so those who want to be rich need to get a side job.

Sharing his view in a post seen by Newshuntermag.com, Teacher Kwadwo accentuated that it will be difficult for teachers to do extra work since they work from Monday to Friday—and rest on weekends.

Therefore, he asked the President to let them go to school on only Mondays and Fridays—in order to get time to do side jobs.

Teacher Kwadwo wrote on Facebook: “Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo u said, we the teachers should do SIDE JOBS. Pls oo, if u care to know we go to school from MONDAY to FRIDAY then rest on weekends. So what time are we using to do the SIDE JOBS? The only way is to boycott class in the course of the week!

“So Mr. President can u pls let us go to school on only Mondays and Tuesdays so we use the rest of the week to do our side jobs? This is my humble plea.”
