Bono Region: Bra Dea Foundation To Donate 5000 Sanitary Pads To Female Adolescents In Deprived Areas

Bra Dea Foundation is set to launch another charity project after it successfully executed Slices of Love.

The Sunyani-based charity organization has hinted at its plans to distribute about 5,000 sanitary pads to female adolescents in deprived areas in the Bono Region.

They will also educate them on menstruation hygiene through the help of health professionals.

The impending project dubbed “Her First Period” will start at the end of March 2021, Newshuntermag.com has gathered.

Michael Edwards Kwasi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bra Dea Foundation pleaded with benevolent individuals and corporate entities to support them to make this project see the light of the day.

Michael Wrote: “Practices related to menstruation hygiene are of major concern as it has a health impact; if neglected, it leads to toxic shock syndrome, reproductive tract infections (RTI), and other vaginal diseases. Poor genital hygiene negatively affects adolescents’ health…
