Accra Hearts of Oak have been crowned champions of the 2022 MTN FA Cup.
They beat Bechem United 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Bechem United scored the opening goal through Emmanuel Avornyo.
Hearts of Oak responded before the end of the first half after Caleb Amankwah scored from a volley.
The most vital goal for Accra Hearts of Oak was scored by Daniel Afriyie Barnie in the 60th minute.
Augustine Okrah’s assault on the assistant line one led to a red card in the 68th.
Bechem United couldn’t score again with 10 men against Hearts of Oak in the remaining minutes.
This victory for Hearts of Oak means a lot to them as they will be representing Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
It is also their 12th FA Cup title. Congrats to the Phobians!
