Iñaki Williams Reveals His Readiness To “Defend The Ghana Shirt” As He Is Now Eligible To Play For The Black Stars

Iñaki Williams is now eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.

For some time now, there have been reports about his decision to switch nationality to Ghana.

This was after the Ghana Football Association had engagements with his parents.

Born in Spain to Ghanaian parents, the Athletic Bilbao forward is now eligible to play for Ghana.

Iñaki made his debut for Spain on May 29, 2016. Following that, he has not made any appearance for Spain and that makes him eligible for a nationality switch per FIFA’s rules.

In an attempt to connect with their roots, Iñaki and his younger brother Nico Williams spent their summer holidays in Ghana.

According to reports, officials of the GFA finalised the paperwork for Iñaki during their vacation in the country.

As he gears up to play for Ghana, Iñaki Williams has declared his readiness to “defend the Ghana shirt.”

He confirmed his preparedness in a video-Newshuntermag.com has seen.
