South Africa Beat Morocco 2-1 To Win WAFCON 2022

The Banyana Banyana of South Africa has won the 2022 edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Morocco and South Africa failed to score in the first half of the game.

Hilda Magaia broke the deadlock of the match in the 63rd minute.

Magaia increased the goal tally by 2 goals to zero after 71 minutes of gameplay.

Morocco’s Rosella Ayane got the consolation goal in the 80th minute.

The host nation, Morocco put pressure on South Africa but they could not draw level. Not even the 9 minutes of additional time saved the situation for the Moroccans.

South Africa’s Banyana Banyana seemed hungry for the trophy—and fought with their all for it.
