Morocco Becomes The First African Country To Qualify For The Semi-Finals Of The World Cup After Defeating Portugal 1-0

Morocco has defeated Portugal to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup 2022.

The Moroccans grabbed a 1-0 victory against the Portuguese on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

After 42 minutes of play, Youssef En-Nesyri scored the only goal in the match.

The pressing from Portugal to get an equalizer did not have any influence on the game as far as changing the scoreline is concerned.

A defensive tactic was launched by the African side while goalkeeper, Yassine Bouno (Bono) made some marvellous saves.

Morocco’s Walid Cheddira was sent off in the 90+3 minutes after getting a second yellow card.

An extra eight minutes were added after the 90 minutes, but the score line remained the same.

Morocco is the first African country to qualify for the semi-finals.

Interestingly, there have been surprises in the World Cup 2022.
