Otto Addo Resigns After Ghana’s Failure To Qualify For The Round Of 16 Of World Cup 2022

Ghana’s coach, Otto Addo, has resigned.

His resignation comes after Ghana failed to qualify for the round of 16 of the World Cup 2022.

“I always said if we qualified for the World Cup I’d resign afterwards, even if we were world champions,” he said.

“My family see our future in Germany.”

Reacting to Ghana’s defeat against Uruguay, Coach Otto Addo stated: “Football is beautiful, sometimes it is ugly. It is ugly for us today. We have to learn and I’m very sure we will learn from this in the future.”

Portugal beat Ghana 3-2 in the opening match. The Black Stars of Ghana got a 3-2 victory against South Korea and lost 2-0 to Uruguay.
