Antoine Griezmann levelled the game for France in the 90+8 minutes, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR check by the referee.
The Tunisians drew goalless with Denmark in their first match and lost 1-0 to Australia.
Australia also beat Denmark by 1-0 in another group match on Wednesday.
With this result, France and Australia with 6 points each, made it to the next round from the Group D of the World Cup 2022.
