The Australians put up a brilliant display at the Al Janoub Stadium, Al-Wakrah in Qatar.
This follows their 4-1 loss to France in the opening game.
Tunisia also drew goalless with Denmark in a Group D opener.
Australia now moves to the second spot of the table with three points as France plays against Denmark later.
