Asante Kotoko has won the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League title.
This comes after they drew levels with AshantiGold S.C in Obuasi on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
Yaw Annor put AshGold ahead but Asante Kotoko edged them to a 1-1 drawn game through Maxwell Agyemang’s header in the second half.
With just three matches to end the season, Kotoko needed just a point from today’s match—and they did justice to it.
As it stands now, they secured 17 wins and nine draws—which gives them 60 points to clinch the title.
The last time Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League was in 2014. They have now won it for the 25th time.
