Ghanaian musician, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, well known as Guru, has cried foul over the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

In a post on Twitter, the NKZ Music leader insinuated the award scheme is not credible.

He said the VGMA will be credible at the time he will be crowned as an artiste of the year.

“Ghana music award Go be credible the day a go win artist of the year,” he wrote.

Guru made this comment after Kuami Eugene won the artiste of the year at 2020 VGMA.

He wondered why the Lynx Entertainment artiste was crowned as an artiste of the year with just two hit songs in the year under review.
Guru lamented he has had ten hit songs within a year but his effort has not been recognized.

He added: “2 hits maker is winning artist of the year but 10 hit songs in a year did not win anything.”
