Do Something About The Excessive Taxes Put On Artisans With Small Businesses; It’s Collapsing Them – CEO Of Kenzy Fashion Institute Appeals To Government

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kenzy Fashion Institute, Saeed Alhassan Tariq, has complained about the excessive taxes that artisans have to pay.

Speaking with Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat With K.O.K aired on Top City TV, Kenzy was unhappy about the high taxes that artisans with small businesses have to pay.

He explained that the government begin to chase them with excessive taxes when they brand themselves well.

“If you are just at a corner and operating, nobody cares about you, but immediately you brand yourself and aim to take the business to the next level, they will chase you with excessive taxes,” Kenzy stated unhappily.

If care is not taken, the popular Sunyani-based fashion designer said the business will collapse due to these excessive taxes that they have to pay.

The CEO of Kenzy Fashion Institute, therefore, appealed to the government to do something about this.

He stressed that there should be a friendly environment to make small businesses set up by artisans flourish.

Despite being under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Kenzy bemoaned artisans have been neglected.

He further called on the government to partner with artisans to make skill training in vocational and other institutions effective.

Kenzy maintained how helpful being an artisan is.
