Veteran Ghanaian Gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong has revealed that most of his songs were recorded outside the shores of Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with Foster Romanus on eTV’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, Mr Sarpong stated that choosing the best sound engineers for his projects has helped him in so many ways.

Talking about the roles that professional music producers play, he said his songs are timeless because of the brains behind them.

“Most of my songs were recorded outside the country in very good studios. Here, if I want to do any recording, I go to Sammy Helwani of Master Mix at Nungua. All these studios that I’ve recorded at, have very clear sounds and as for Sammy Helwani, I can say he’s the best record engineer in the country,” he stated.

According to him, Ghanaian music producers are doing the best, but Sammy Helwani, who sometimes records his songs in Ghana, is well-versed and he has learned a lot about his work.
