Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kwabena Bonny, widely known as DKB, has reacted to Elon Musk’s Twitter blue verification decision.
Mr Musk announced some weeks ago that the Twitter blue tick verification would be removed from users who do not opt for the monthly subscription on April 20, 2023.
Lo and behold, he walked his talks as the verifications were taken away.
Reacting to this in a post-Newshuntermag.com came across, DKB stated that he won’t pay for verification.
He asserted that paying for a Twitter verification would undermine his celebrity status.
The Ghanaian comedian further said he worked hard to attain celebrity status.
He tweeted: “To be honest, as a CELEBRITY, if I buy this twitter verification, I have undermined my status. Recognition can be bought but not authentic.
Would U let a doctor who didn’t go to medical school but bought a medical school PhD operate on U? I worked hard to become a CELEBRITY.😡.”
The Twitter blue verification price starts from 8 dollars monthly and 84 dollars yearly.
