Ghanaian musician and sound engineer, Kwadwo Opare-Addo, otherwise known as Mista Voltage, has disclosed the sad feeling that gets hold of him whenever Kofi B’s name is mentioned.
He sadly revealed in an interview with Kwame Ghana on Radio BAR in Sunyani that he shed tears anytime that the late Kofi B’s name is mentioned.
After being exposed to music by deceased musician, Terry Bonchaka, Mista Voltage recalled Kofi B gave him his first major song when he recruited him on his song Belinda, which gave him prominence.
“I have gone to the studio to record a song with my friends when Kofi Bee fell in love with my voice and featured on his Belinda song and since there has been no turning back,” he recounted on the ‘Our Music Our History’ segment.
The Ghanaian musician cum sound engineer also reminisced about his works with Ofori Amponsah, Daddy Lumba, Naa Agyemang, Quame Zaggy and others.
When asked if he turned born again, Voltage quickly answered he had heard that many times, but as a versatile musician, he tries to serve all genres.
He recently featured Yaa Pono on a new song titled ‘Like Play Like Play’—as he plans toward releasing a 30-track album.
Mista Voltage pleaded with Ghanaians to love and appreciate their own music, stressing that high life is a beautiful genre.
