Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah has celebrated her 36th birthday with the kids at the Accra Senior Correctional Centre.
Jackie donated rice, oil, drinks, branded books, toothbrushes, biscuits, soaps, washing powders, hand sanitizers, an undisclosed sum of cash and many other items.
The beautiful actress, who has been putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged annually for about 15-16 years now through the Jackie Appiah Foundation expressed how dear the donation was to her.
“Every year I make it a point to celebrate with the less privileged, those who don’t find themselves at the right places. I was thinking where can I celebrate my birthday this time around? I wanted it to be different from what I have done in the past.
“The Jackie Appiah Foundation has been in existence for the 15-16 years and every year I make it a point to celebrate with women and children. I was told about the Juvenile prison and I said bingo this where I want to be,” she remarked.
A Senior Officer, who received the items on behalf of the kids, thanked Jackie Appiah for her kind gesture.
The elated officer assured the actress that all the items she brought won’t go waste and it will be put to good use.
