Mrs. Theresa Ayoade, the Chief Executive Officer of Charter House, organisers of the annual Ghana music awards has revealed that she sometimes regrets getting herself involved in music in the country due to the incessant attacks.
“Yes I do regret along the line in the sense that we are putting in so much efforts and it seems that it is not appreciated and not valued but at the end of the day we derive satisfaction that we know we doing a good job and doing our best and that discerning people are listening,” Mrs. Ayoade said in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday.
Mrs. Ayoade who has personally been attacked by some of Shatta Wale’s fans for Charter House’s decision to ban the controversial dancehall artiste said it is unfortunate that people tend to attack her personality.
She also described as heart breaking the verbal attacks by the ‘kakai’ singer that eventually led to him being banned from any nomination from the upcoming awards.
Speaking on Starr Chat Mrs. Ayoade asked all stakeholders in the Ghana music industry, especially artistes and their fans to continue to trust the Charter House saying they are always fair and professional in their line of work.
According to her, the general public must calm down and appreciate the work of Charter House.
