Kwame A Plus has asked Ghanaians to start a campaign that will compel President Akufo-Addo to sack the Finance Minister of Ghana, Ken Ofori-Atta.
The political and social activist, known in private life as Kwame Asare Obeng, made this call in a Twitter post seen by Newshuntermag.com.
He implored Ghanaians living in the country and those abroad to be part of the campaign.
A Plus believes the sacking of Ken Ofori-Atta will help save the country and the cedi.
His post was on the heels of the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar and other currencies.
The vocal socialite added the hashtag ‘#OforiAttamustgo’ in his tweet.
A Plus tweeted: “We must begin a campaign to force the president to sack Ken Ofori Atta. Every professional association, civil society organisation, workers union & all influencial people in Ghana & abroad must be part of this campaign to save Ghana, the NPP party & the Cedi. #OforiAttamustgo.”
His tweet is receiving several retweets while some Twitter users have begun using the hashtag in their posts.
For some time, business folks have been complaining about the depreciation of the Ghana cedi.
Whether President Akufo-Addo will sack the Finance Minister is also another matter.
