Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Little was known about the behind-the- closed-doors prowess of the very indispensable Sound Engineer, Record producer,Artiste Manager and the CEO of The Last 2 Music group born Edward Nana Poku OSEI aka DA’ Hammer of the last 2.

The Revolutionist who graced MY STORY on LET’S GO last Friday the 18th of March , 2016 with Yaw Ampofo Ankrah on Radio XYZ 93.1 disclosed how busy he has been raising six (6) kids as a single parent.

“I used to be married, but I’m single now. A single parent of Six kids, Four(4) girls and Two(2) boys and it’s not easy. But I have time for them, not all of them though but we have a relationship. But the environment around my work makes me avoid the kids around me because I don’t want them to pick up the lifestyle of the rappers and boys boys around me”.

When asked if any of the kids have shown interest in music, DA’ HAMMER was quick to say “My kids play piano. They started when they were around 3 or 4 years. They have a teacher, I mean 3 of the girls can play piano.”

When he was further asked if any of  daughters could be like Alicia Keys in the Ghanaian music industry in some few years, he was quick to add that ” I would love to see them do music if the industry grows.”

The Renowned Record producer further expressed how unprofitable the Ghanaian music Industry was. To him he would only allow the daughters do music actively when the industry becomes that profitable.

“I have tasted the industry first hand. We are trying to make the industry better but until an artiste in Ghana makes more money than a bank Manager,  I won’t allow my kids. My daughters and sons right now have their plans I trust, but I can allow then if the Ghanaian music industry straightens up. Other than that they would use the music for a hobby. Obour has set up a new committee to investigate very hard to get the industry fixed but as for my kids until it’s fixed they are not coming in HAMMER is currently planning to bring out a new commercial artiste by name “OKOLI” a Nigerian expected to take the music industry by storm.”
