Prolific Ghanaian female gospel artiste, Joyce Blessing, has revealed why many secular musicians are trying to come out with gospel songs.

Speaking in an interview with Tactical Shifo on Cheers FM in Sunyani—which was monitored by the News Hunter Magazine, the ‘I Swerve You’ composer said it is welcoming news that they are trying to venture into the gospel side of music.

“Everybody has what they like. Some people won’t even lend an ear when they hear something gospel. They have the type of music they want. Before we came into the music scene, many old folks loved gospel from that time up to date.

“Many secular musicians are trying to do gospel songs because they have realized gospel songs do not fade away.  It is good that they are shifting…if it is not good, they won’t venture that area. That should tell you everything is going on fine,” she revealed.

Joyce Blessing advised aspiring gospel musicians to pray hard, be humble and have a big dream.

“You won’t find it easy if you have a big vision. It is all about determination and also you have to know where you want to reach. You have to listen to advice. With perseverance, one day you will shine. You have to learn, pray and be humble,” she counselled.

Joyce Blessing called on presenters and DJs to help talented up and coming musicians who cannot afford to pay for promotion of their songs.

She believes more talents can be unearthed if opportunities are giving to them.
