GraceWorld Foundation has donated 10 bags of cement to the Sunyani Central Prisons in the Bono Region to support speedy construction and completion of a project for a convenient worshipping place for the inmates.
GraceWorld foundation is a Ghanaian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Belgium with the aim of supporting to improve the livelihoods of the less privileged and needy in society.
In an interview, Reverend Charles Sarkodie, founder of the NGO told Newshuntermag.com that, “the foundation was determined to selflessly ensure the less privileged also smiles all the time.”
Rev. Sarkodie said the foundation focuses on continuous supporting relatives and siblings at the children’s homes, street children and Prisons since 2012 for them not to feel neglected in society.
He emphasized the inmates also needed to worship God without any hindrance, hence, the donation to enhance speedy completion of the project for a convenient worshipping place.
Reverend DSP Gideon Ndebugri, the Bono Regional Chaplain, Ghana Prisons Service, Sunyani Central in a related interview commended GraceWorld foundation for the selfless support.
Rev. DSP Ndebugri expressed gratitude to the donors who have been supporting in all aspects towards improving the well-being of the inmates of the Sunyani Central Prisons.
Rev. DSP narrated that all worship activities were done at the Prisons canteen because of lack of space, therefore, initiated the project and started it in 2019.
He worried the project was to be completed by two years from starting date, but lack of material support, a greater percentage of the project was still to tackle and was optimistic the donation would push the project to another level.
Rev. DSP Ndebugri appealed to particularly the churches in Sunyani and the Bono Region and NGOs, philanthropist and individuals for materials support.
