It’s Normal To Pick Cash Splashed On Me At My Wedding Ceremony – Patapaa

Ghanaian musician, Justice Amoah, well known as Patapaa, does not see anything wrong with his decision to pick cash splashed on him at his wedding.

The ‘One Corner’ composer was seen picking the money sprayed on him by his friends during his marriage ceremony with his German-girlfriend, Liha Miller.

Reacting to this in an interview on Kastle FM, Patapaa stated: “picking cash that has been splashed on me is normal, I even do the same when I’m performing at my shows. When you’re an MC at a show and people spray cash on you, will you allow other people to collect that money for free?

“When you work as human being don’t work for other people to use your hard-earned money for granted. When you don’t take such monies which has been sprayed on you, you’ll never be prosperous in life.”

“So if no pastor has ever said it at a church then I’m saying it today that everyone’s favour and self-dignity is your face. So when you use your face to do something and you allow others to pick monies meant for you, then they’re taking your favour away.

“Some people marry and after complain of hardship in the marriage. Some artistes organize shows and yet when money is sprayed on them they allow others to collect them from the ground and yet complain about finances,” he said.

After he was giving a microphone, he advised the people around not to pick his money.

Patapaa told the host “That’s what most people don’t know, it’s not about shyness and it didn’t only happen at my wedding. When I’m performing on a stage and someone spray cash on me I will pick it, why did they spray the money on someone else?

“So once the money has been sprayed on me I won’t allow anyone to take away my favour I will pick and put it inside my pocket. At least if I get home and I don’t like the money I will give it to the kids in my vicinity who have been supportive of my craft,” he continued.

Patapaa added: “Even in the church if I’m invited for a show and people spray money on me I will pick it that one I can’t lie about it. If you’re an artiste and you’re billed for a show and people spray money on you but you don’t collect it yet you later struggle to make ends meet then it’s your own cup of tea.”
