Bono FM has launched Bono Nsoroma in Sunyani, the capital of the Bono Region.
Bono Nsoroma, a child reality and talent discovery show, was launched at the Tyco City Hotel on June 10, 2023.
The event was attended by some revered chiefs in the Bono Region, Parents, Media Personalities and Contestants of the show.
Popular Ghanaian actress, Gloria Osei Sarfo was unveiled as the Ambassador for the maiden Bono Nsoroma show.
The eighteen (18) contestants of the talent show thrilled patrons with their tremendous performances.
Their performances ranged from singing, poem reciting, acting, football commentating, and playing the keyboard and other musical instruments.
The organizers also used this as an opportunity to raise funds for the event.
Speaking at the launch and fundraising event of Bono Nsoroma which Newshuntermag.com covered, the Manageress of Bono FM, Miss Mavis Boanu, opened on why this show was instituted.
“Bono Nsoroma’s idea was conceived as a means to produce stars in the Bono region that would be developed and equipped so much with confidence and skills to enable them to take the lead in the Ghana entertainment arena.
“We have observed that there is no opportunity that is created for our kids within the Bono Region to evolve in the entertainment space. That is why Bono FM took the challenge upon itself to contribute towards the future we desire. We cannot keep wishing and complaining when indeed we have the power to do something about it,” she said.
Miss Boanu added: “We had the audacity to commence this beautiful thing you are witnessing now because we believed so much in you. We believe that you will surely support us to finish this project in style. I am full of joy because I know you will never disappoint us.”
In the future, she hoped the Bono child can boldly occupy the international space and project the map of the region.
The Bono FM Manageress further stated: “We are looking forward to sustaining this project and even making it better to prepare our future children to make good use of their talents too. The fact is that talent pays better if it is well nurtured. The likes of Asamoah Gyan, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and some renowned musicians like Kwadwo Antwi, Stonebwoy, Shata Wale and Davido are examples to show.
We are looking forward to a future where our entertainment space through Bono Nsoroma, will be able to provide jobs to our people because he who has talent is employed already.”
Renowned actress, Gloria Osei Sarfo, who is the Brand Ambassador of Bono Nsoroma season 1, revealed her excitement about the performances of the contestants.
She was optimistic about their success in the future.
For his part, the Chairman of the event, and the Kyidomhene of Adantia, Nana Kwasi Boanu I, pleaded with parents to guard their children to success.
He also appreciated the chiefs and patrons for gracing the occasion.
