Renowned Ghanaian record producer, Edward Nana Poku Osei, popularly known as Hammer, has said there is not even a single Ghanaian music producer who will invite others to master their works.
According to him, he is the only sound engineer who sometimes calls on others to complete some of his works.
He indicated that most Ghanaian sound engineers are greedy.
“I’m the only sound engineer who invites other engineers to master my work like they do in America. In Ghana, nobody does it, because they are greedy. They want the money all for themselves,” he said in an interview with Ghanaweb.
Hammer disclosed that he likes to work with people who can really rap.
“When you come to me I need to know whether you can really rap, put your money aside. I need to know whether you are worth the trouble because I also have my fan base who are counting on me to make the right person,” he stated.
Hammer played a critical role in bringing up Ghanaian artistes like Obrafour, Tinny, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, Ayigbe Edem, and others.
