Ghanaian actress and movie producer Yvonne
Nelson has confessed she feels "used" by her
former boyfriend, Nigerian singer Iyanya of
'Your waist' and 'Kukere' fame.
The actress said Iyanya pretended to have
fallen in love with her only because he wanted
to use her name to climb the ladder to fame
and once he achieved that mission, he walked
away.
Yvonne said the 'Iyanya experience' taught her
a bitter lesson and she now 'pities' any lady
she sees dating a celebrity.
The celebrated Ghanaian actress was speaking
to Delores Frimpong Manso on her Delay talk
show and that particular episode would be
aired this Friday.
According to Yvonne, she gets an odd feeling
anytime she hears Iyanya's song 'Your waist',
especially the part of the song that says
"Yvonne Nelson roll am oooo, all I want is
your waist."
But Iyanya once told the media that Yvonne
Nelson was just part of his history and he
wanted to move on.
"I don't want to talk about her please. She can
say whatever she wants today. It's her business
and not mine," Iyanya told Nigeria's WG.
In the first part of the interview aired last
Friday afternoon, Yvonne revealed that she is
no longer seen with her celebrity friend Sandra
Ankobiah because she just walked away from
the former.
Yvonne said though there was no bad blood
between herself and Sandra, she moved away
because she wanted to get more focused.
