Ghanaian actor, farmer and politician, John Dumelo is mad at Fred Nuamah.
He expressed his disappointment in the Ghanaian filmmaker in a video Newshuntermag.com has come across.
The disagreement between the two was on the back of them announcing their readiness to contest as a member of parliament at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Fred declared his intention earlier before John also came out to reveal his plans to contest again.
The defeated NDC parliamentary candidate described Mr Nuamah as a liar when speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz program hosted by MzGee.
“This is someone who called me two months ago and told me he has heard I am coming back so he will support my bid and now he is saying I gave my blessing. When did I give my blessings to him?” he queried.
“On my birthday, he came for my surprise party on 3rd February, that same night he released his flyer, after that he sent me a long text message and I told him I never told him I am not coming back,” the popular actor revealed.
John Dumelo further opened up about how he felt about what his friend, Fred did.
“That is a stab in the back and he will lose the primaries. I know that for a fact. If you speak to people and the delegates they say they want John back so I don’t know why Fred is running.”
John Dumelo’s anger stemmed from this statement made by Fred during an interview with Graphic Showbiz: “Frankly, it’s late to step down. My brother informed me and a lot of people that he was not going to contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency again. He gave me his blessings when I made up my mind to contest.”
However, Mr Dumelo thinks Fred Nuamah will be defeated at the primaries.
“Does he think politics is a joke? Does he think we are joking around? Can he stand the NPP? I was able to match up to the ruling party boot for boot in 2020. Can he?” he asked.
