A headteacher has been killed by unknown gunmen at Cape Coast.

The sad incident according to JoyNews happened at the deceased’s house.

The report sighted by Newshuntermag.com indicated that the late headteacher, Yaw Eyifa Gorman, otherwise known as Dr Sting, was shot in his car after he returned home from a census training on Saturday evening.

One of the co-tenants of the deceased revealed he was shot around 7:40 pm.

Being gripped by fear, the tenant said they found out the headteacher was shot after they rushed out upon hearing the sound of the gunshot.

“We were all in our room and we heard a loud noise ‘boom’. Some of us even though it was a knockout.

“Then all of a sudden, we heard his wife screaming ‘Please someone should come and help me!’ So when we did, we saw his lifeless body in front of his steering wheel with blood in the car,” he disclosed.

Describing the deceased, the co-tenant averred he was a very friendly and cordial person.

“He has no issue with anybody in this house. This is disturbing and shocking because it didn’t happen anywhere in town but right in his house and that is what we are afraid of.”

He further called on the police to hunt down the perpetrators and bring them to book.

In the interim, the Central Region Police Command has begun investigations into the sad incident.
