Renowned Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, otherwise known as Shatta Wale, has bemoaned over how people get him wrong on the things he says.

During an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Shatta Wale stated that Ghanaians have not given him the opportunity to make this country proud.

Despite his achievements in the music industry, the leader of Shatta Movement said his works are not appreciated by his own people.

However, the world is appreciating what he does and he wonders why it is happening like that.

He recounted how someone called one of his team members and complained about his style.

Shatta Wale stressed that he has created his own path and he doesn’t follow the norms and directions of the Ghanaian music industry.

His assertion was on the heels of three of his songs being featured in a Spanish movie ‘Black Beach’ distributed on Netflix.
