Director Of Don Musso Educational Village, Daniel Adama Selected Among Ghana’s Representatives For 2022 Mandela Washington Fellowship

The Director of Don Musso Educational Village in Odumase, Bono Region, Daniel Adama has been selected among Ghana’s representatives for the 2022 Mandela Washington Fellowship.

About 32 people will represent Ghana in this year’s Fellowship.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of the U.S. Government’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). 

The Fellowship will provide 700 outstanding young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa with the opportunity to hone their skills at a U.S. college or university with support for professional development after they return home in 2022.

Each year, the Fellows participate in six-week Leadership Institutes, studying Business, Civic Engagement, or Public Management at U.S. colleges or universities. During their time on campus, Fellows connect with Americans and enrich local U.S. communities while sharing best practices.

A profile shared by the U.S Embassy of Ghana about Daniel Adama read:

Daniel Adama is the Director of Don Musso Educational Village in Odumase, Sunyani. He is also a Certified Project Management Consultant and an Accredited Project Manager with over ten years’ experience working with educational projects. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree and currently pursuing a Masters program at the Catholic University College of Ghana. He also holds a Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and is a proud Old Boy of Tamale Senior High School.

 Daniel has been actively involved in the provision of basic educational resources to schools in rural communities in the Bono Region, advocating for equitable access to education for the impoverished and securing scholarships for several students from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue tertiary education.

 He looks forward to developing himself and networking to enhance his advocacy in education through the Mandela Washington Fellowship. He hopes to grow his NGO to reach out to many rural communities in Ghana and Africa. #YALI2022
