Katy Perry’s bankroll has made her 2015’s top-earning female musician. Forbes revealed that the 31-year-old pop sensation raked in $135 million in the past year, thanks to her successful Prismatic world tour.
“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” she told Forbes earlier this year. “I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”
Besides grossing $2 million per city on each of her 126 tour stops, Perry’s other ballsy business moves included deals with Coty, Claire’s and CoverGirl.
The “Roar” singer isn’t the only woman bossing up on the esteemed list. Taylor Swift landed the No. 2 spot on the list, earning $80 million, followed by Fleetwood Mac ($59.5 million) and Lady Gaga ($59 million). Beyonce rounded out the top five with earnings of $54.5 million. Last year, she took the highest honor, bagging more than $115 million courtesy of her joint On the Run tour with husband Jay Z and deals with Pepsi and L’Oreal.
