Hopeson Adorye, the husband of Ghanaian Gospel musician, Empress Gifty has defended her.
The Gospel musician has been subjected to heavy criticism in recent times.
She was also rebuked after her performance at Stonebwoy’s Ashaiman To The World Concert.
Empress Gifty was chastised over how she dressed for the event.
Talking about this in an interview on Okay FM, Hopeson Adorye, a well-known NPP member said the critics of her wife wish they had her in their lives.
“When someone is doing her thing and people sitting behind will be saying what they want. Those criticizing her want her,” he said.
Mr Adorye further stated: “We are moving forward. A mother of mine told me that if you don’t want someone to be popular, don’t talk ill about the person. When you say good things about people, they don’t hear it but immediately something negative is said about someone it flies easily.”
